african gallery

This subtle yet complex refresh to the 4,000sf African galleries not only highlights the best of the collection, but allows for future flexibility as the installation continues to evolve. Over a period of six weeks, the art and construction danced around each other, allowing for installation of the fresh crisp plexiglass backpanels and fabric wrapped decks. Revisions to the layout were also integral to the exhibition designer’s vision with carefully placed free standing cases that accompanied the existing architectural wooden structures. Upon completion, the 200 objects are brought closer to the viewer due to new mounts and the careful contemporary color palette.
