cevdet erek installation
The artist from Turkey had a simple yet unique request: to create music using found fencing materials, incorporating audio tracks from live performances to be played throughout the installation. The challenge was to design and construct the fencing in such a way that it could support the potential weight of visitors who might interact with the installation.
The design process required meticulous attention to detail to ensure the fencing not only maintained structural integrity but also preserved the sound and aesthetic vision of the artist. Every element was carefully considered, from the material choice to the positioning, to allow for an immersive experience that invited visitors to engage with the piece.
Ultimately, the installation provided an interactive space where visitors could “play” along, creating a dynamic fusion of art, sound, and audience participation, all while maintaining the integrity and atmosphere envisioned by the artist.
