contemporary gallery
Within every museum, flexible galleries support rotating exhibitions and temporary displays. For this project, the artist specifically requested even wall illumination — a condition typically achieved with wallwash track lighting. Working within the museum’s existing custom track and ceiling module, Polymath Design developed a custom linear LED solution.
The fixture not only delivers continuous, even light along the gallery walls, but also pivots to accommodate multiple placements and future installations, enhancing long-term flexibility. To address the lack of built-in dimming infrastructure, the luminaire was designed with integrated wireless dimming, ensuring precise control without invasive rewiring.
The result is a seamless lighting system that provides smooth, even illumination on both walls and artwork, elevating the gallery experience for artists, curators, and visitors alike. The innovative solution preserves the integrity of the architecture while adapting to the evolving needs of contemporary exhibitions.
