The third restaurant by chef Stephanie Izard, DDG, was her interpretation of a quintessential Chinatown experience. Designed by AvroKO, the space features intricate architecture and design, demanding a lighting solution that met the same high expectations.

The challenge was to incorporate small luminaires throughout the space, each carefully selected to deliver a big impact without overwhelming the design. Layered lighting was used to create a sense of intimacy while ensuring every architectural detail and design element was highlighted, yet subtle enough to avoid distraction.

The lighting design seamlessly blended with the surrounding décor, enhancing the warm, welcoming atmosphere that transports guests to the bustling streets of Chinatown. Every corner, shadow, and glow adds to the experience, ensuring that every moment in the restaurant feels authentic and immersive. The result is a dynamic space where lighting plays a key role in creating a memorable dining experience.
